Good book, but also unbearably 'cool' and/or 'hip'. The conversations are often v witty. It's about a time which seems ancient now - around the 1987 and the global share market crash. 'Crash' is also the nickname of the protagonist, Russell (married to Corrine), who works for a book publisher. There is also drug abuse and rehab by a friend of theirs, along with temptations to be unfaithful. I kind of lost interest towards the end - but the first half was good.
